FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 12 will begin two major paving projects in Floyd County on Monday, June 9th. Work will take place on more than eight miles of roadway along KY Route 3 and KY Route 321.
On KY Route 3, paving will run from mile point 0.954 near Bays Branch bridge to the Johnson County line. On KY Route 321, the project extends from the KY Route 1428 intersection near Prestonsburg High School to mile point 5.07 at the Johnson County line.
Crews will work between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Drivers should expect delays.
Also beginning Monday, the entrance to Town Branch Road on U.S. 23 in Prestonsburg will be closed as grade work begins following utility work in the area.
