PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WMDJ) – On Friday, Floyd County Schools was notified of an online social media post suggesting self-harm and a potential threat towards an Adams Middle School staff member.

Prestonsburg City Police and School Resource Officer Melissa Blackburn investigated and identified the student involved, taking appropriate action per district policy.

No students or staff were in harm at any time.
