WHEELWRIGHT, Ky. (WMDJ) – Officials in the city of Wheelwright are preparing for the next winter storm.

This week, city commissioners approved the purchase of snow removal equipment, which will enhance snow removal efforts.

Commissioners also announced the hiring of Danny Martin as the new chief of police. The move was necessary to accommodate former chief Keith Justice, who will remain on the police force, but is also serving as a School Resource Officer at South Floyd Elementary.
