FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) – The final construction phase of the Mountain Parkway expansion project is set to begin by the end of this year.
Representatives with the KY Transportation Cabinet indicate that crews are on schedule to begin the last leg of the parkway by the fall of 2025 in Magoffin County, with construction starting at the intersection of U.S. 460 and KY Route 114 in Salyersville.
The Floyd County section to Prestonsburg will see construction begin in the fall of 2026.
