FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) – Anyone needing assistance with heating bills can now apply for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program through March 15th.
Applications are approved on a first-come, first-served bases with income eligibility capped at 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Residents in Floyd County can apply at the Big Sandy Area Community Action Program office at 60 Court Street in Allen.
You’ll need to provide Social Security numbers for all members of your household, proof of all household income from the prior month, a current electric bill or documentation such as a lease agreement or utility statement if heating costs are included in rent and account numbers and names associated with primary heating fuel sources.
