PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WMDJ)  - Highlands ARH has announced the arrival of the first baby of the year!

On January 1, 2025, a beautiful baby boy named Holden Kade Newsome was welcomed into the world, weighing 6 pounds, 14.5 ounces, and measured 19.5 inches long.

Holden's parents are Lyndsee Hall and Leland Newsome of Langley. 

“This is a wonderful way to kick off the new year,” says Director of Obstetrical Services Michelle Hall. “We are grateful and truly honored to have been part of this special milestone and wish the family a lifetime of health and happiness.”

Holden’s arrival marks the beginning of what is sure to be another year of joyful beginnings at Highlands ARH. In 2024, Highlands proudly welcomed 497 newborns.
