WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WMDJ) – The Martin County community is mourning the loss of a 19-year old student, who died following a traffic accident early Tuesday.

Kennadi Mollett was a standout athlete at Martin County High School and a freshman at the University of Pikeville where she was a cheerleader.

Mollett was killed in a crash on U.S. 52 in southern Wayne County, W.Va., yesterday after her vehicle was struck by a large truck.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the accident.
