FRANKFORT, Ky. (WMDJ) – A Floyd County business was among 36 selected during Monday's first medical cannabis dispensary license lottery.
Gov. Andy Beshear has announced the results as applicants were selected to receive licenses through a random number generator.
BSRKY APP LLC of Martin was selected for a license. The business, which doesn’t have a physical location, is owned by Molly Willwerth of Louisville, KY.
Two licenses were also awarded to ventures in Pike County – Kentuckyzen and Reed KY Dispensary.
Medical marijuana sales will become legal in Kentucky on January 1st.
