FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) – A Floyd County man has died following a single-car accident in Grethel.

The accident happened early Wednesday morning on KY Route 979.

Authorities believe Ken Tackett, 59, of Beaver, likely suffered a medical emergency, causing his vehicle to leave the highway, striking a tree.

Tackett was pronounced dead at the scene.
