PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) – A teenager has been arrested following a weekend shooting in downtown Pikeville.

Pikeville City Police responded to the city parking garage just before 4 a.m. Sunday morning after it was reported that several shots had been fired. After arriving, Officers discovered everyone involved in the incident had fled the scene.

Later, Officers were alerted that a gunshot wound patient was being treated at Pikeville Medical Center. Following a brief investigation and interviews, Officers located the shooting suspect and took them into custody.

Authorities say the gunshot victim is in stable, but critical condition.

No other details have been released as the investigation is ongoing.
