PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) – The KY Apple Festival returns this week in downtown Paintsville.
Carnival rides open Wednesday at 5 p.m. and will also be open on Thursday evening 5 until 10 p.m.
The official opening ceremony will be Friday at 8:30 a.m. followed a full day of fun, including an arts & crafts tent, flea market, food, with music beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Heading Friday night’s performance will be Nashville recording artist Jason Michael Carroll, famous for his 2007 hit song, “Alyssa Lies” and his 2009 smash, “Where I’m From.”
There will be a car show Saturday starting at 8 a.m until 2 p.m. followed by more music and headliners Ricochet to close out the festival at 8:30 p.m.
Saturday’s parade will start at 2 p.m. in downtown.
