HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) – State Senator Johnnie Turner had to be taken to a local hospital on Sunday following an accident involving a riding lawnmower.

Turner reportedly drove his lawnmower into the deep end of an empty pool.

He was transported to Harlan ARH before being airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center Sunday night.

Turner is listed in stable condition.
