FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) – The Floyd County Community Center is getting a much-needed face lift.
Judge Executive Robbie Williams and members of the Floyd Fiscal Court provided an update on the refurbishment of the 50-year-old building, saying a new metal roof has been completed and more work continues.
Williams says the entire exterior of the building will be replaced. Also, flooring for the gym is planned along with upgrades to restrooms and offices.
Once the project is complete, Williams said the hope is for county to be able to have more after-school programs for area youth.
Total restoration of the building is set to be completed in a couple of months.
