LEXINGTON, Ky. (WMDJ) – Attorney General Russell Coleman announced today that 51 organizations across Kentucky were awarded a total of $12,029,053 in grant funding from the Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission to bolster prevention, treatment, and enforcement efforts.
The recipients include Appalachian Research & Defense Fund of KY (AppalReD Legal Aid), which received $125,000 in funding. ARH received $94,572 to expand Peer Recovery services in four additional hospitals. Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program received $450,000. The program provides career and support services for individuals who are in recovery and entering or re-entering the workforce.
