JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) - Big Sandy Rural Electric Cooperative has named long-time employee Jeff Prater as the new President and General Manager.

During his 35-year tenure at Big Sandy RECC, Prater has served in many key roles, with the latest being Vice President of Operations for the last 14 years.

Officials say Prater offers a wealth of experience, knowledge, and expertise in all aspects of the electric distribution field and his dedication to the cooperative and its members and community is truly commendable.

Big Sandy RECC dismissed former CEO Bruce Aaron Davis in February after he was accused on charges of sexual harassment.
