PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WMDJ) – A train accident Saturday night in Floyd County left two crew members injured.
According to officials, a CSX train was traveling around 35 mph just before 7 p.m. Saturday evening when the locomotive struck a large tree limb in the Watergap area.
CSX dispatch in Jacksonville, Florida contacted Prestonsburg ECC informing officials of the accident. Prestonsburg Fire Department responded to the scene and transported two crew members to a local hospital for non-life threating injuries.
